About Dami Vaughan

b. Nigeria, based in London. Dami Vaughan completed Criticism & Curation at Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London in 2022

Vaughan examines human feelings and experiences. Responding to his ideas of home, love, loss, and loneliness.

These are things the artist has I’ve struggled with all my life. Initially attempting to trap my memories of these via photography, it has evolved into a continuous process of studying and archiving the feelings around me. I ask myself how can I solidify the intangible?

How can my work bridge personal and collective feelings?

Vaughan uses installation and experiential art to mine all the different creative strands within his practice: photography, writing, film and curation. Ultimately, seeking to create art of immense feeling.

He had his work featured at the Lethaby Gallery, Tate Britain and Ocean Africa. He is currently studying for his BA in Culture
