Lilian Ptáček

About Lilian Ptáček

b. 1992, based in Glasgow and Rotterdam.

Lilian Ptáček completed her BA (Hons) The Glasgow School of Art, Fine Art Painting and Printmaking in 2015.

Lilian works across printmaking, collage and installation, her practice is interested in how images, symbols and objects are read and understood. Recently, her practice has considered how objects become embedded in landscapes, accumulate and accrue multiple histories. Lilian works in an intuitive manner with mono-print and screen-print to create works that layer marks, imagery and washes of colour. Where printmaking is an expansive tool for incorporating a breadth of visual languages, whilst simultaneously recording both the consistencies and inconsistencies of the process.
