About the artist

Beth Shapeero b.1985 is an visual artist based in Glasgow.

Her solo practice is predominantly abstraction, working across different mediums including printmaking, painting and installation. Her work often involves people and strives to promote connection through her practice.

She has recently had solo shows at 16 Nicholson Street Gallery (Glasgow, 2022), and Studio Pavilion at House for an Art Lover (Glasgow, 2022). In 2020 she was awarded the prestigious ARMA commission which took place in The Tetley (Leeds, 2022) and she has taken part in the 2014, 2016 and 2018 iterations of Glasgow International Festival.

In her collaborative practice with artists Fraser Taylor (Two-Step) the pair exhibited last year at The Royal Scottish Academy (Edinburgh) and were commissioned to make a large-scale work for The Hidden Door festival (Edinburgh). They have exhibitions coming up at Kelvingrove Gallery in 2022 (Glasgow) and Glasgow Print Studio in 2023.
