About the artist

b. United Kingdom based in London and Berlin, Clare Burnett completed an MA Christ’s College, Cambridge in Architeture, Social and Political Science in 1986 and thereafter a BFA from Central St Martins, London in 1994. As well as holding the position of President and Chair for The Royal Society of Sculptors. Burnett Recent exhibition include White Noise Projects (2024) Studio I-D, (2023) The Discerning eye (2023) and Art Academy Auction at Christie’s London (2023)

Burnett makes friendly, monochrome sculptures from found and mass-produced objects.  The works relate to the complications and joys of contemporary life – play and improvisation; colour and relationships; how we navigate ownership and consumerism with particular reference to colonialism and climate impact and creating future archaeologies, the rise of technology and surveillance.
